    Erm, unless clocks and similar devices have been updated recently then going up Crib Goch first is going anti clockwise

    I think this (anti-clockwise) is the better way, especially if you don't know the horseshoe that well, as going up the scrambly bits is a lot easier than figuring out how to descend them.

    Note that when descending from Snowdon to get to Lliwedd you go down the Rhyd Ddu path to a finger stone before cutting back down to the bwlch. You can do a direct descent but if the visibility is poor it's not to be recommended unless you know the area well.

    Yes, they all agreed anti-clockwise is best but somehow the words got mixed up!

    i heard a mention from one of the park wardens that the record for the H/S was under 90 min was going to have a crack at it e few years ago but didnt get round to it.
    Record is 85:06 as far as I know

    Yeah anti must surely be the quickest, down the direct from Snowdon would be a hard task. Bad enough on the Peris going up the thing.

    I wouldn't mind having a quick run at this one day, but TBH would be happy with under 2. You'd need good conditions to really attack Crib Goch, but from then on its pretty fast.

    Worth reccing though, there's quite a few lines which grab you some time.

    For the record do you have to stay entirely on the Lliwedd ridge, or can you by pass the later summits, like in the Peris?
