    Thumbs up First Club Run

    Afternoon all,
I went for my first club run last night with south cheshire harriers. Road / fields this time and sticking with the road group while I build a little fitness up before joining the fell people on their training runs hopefully.

So, the point I hear you ask...Beginners, don't fear the clubs. It was very freindly, all the people there were very nice and helpfull. I'm sure most clubs are the same but I went with South Cheshire Harriers and will be doing so again.

Running with a club on training nights does encourage you to get out and perhaps run harder than you would on your own. A good place to chat about upcoming races, results, who's doing what, etc (other than the forum). I have run with other club groups and found them all to be friendly but I guess that's the nature of sport.

I agree, it gives you an incentive. Whenever I go to the midlands to the SO's family, I try to find a club to go running with, as they know the area, and even up here when I think I knew the area, there areothers who know routes that I did not know existed!

Don't see you doing much training with your legs. Nice to see your t drinking skills are getting plenty of practice.
