    Insurance? Such as life or health insurance?
    Don't think anyone that rides this was including myself has or bothers about such insurance.

    It could, you need two independent brakes in the UK. On a fixed your legs can count as one - you can't count left and right legs separately

    Someone with a lot of bike handling skill and experience of riding fixed without brakes is a hell of a lot safer than a lot of the people out there with two brakes that don't have a clue.
