    Cycling 10,000k 48,000m ascent

    Bare with me please

First the back ground. Before taking up Fell running I used to race Dinghies to quite a high level with my long suffering crew Jo.

Much to my disapointment Jo was offered a big promotion and went to London where like me being a fitness freak decided to take up rowing, She joined Leander(big rowing club) and after a bit of effort she won 2 National Championships and was a winner at Henley Reggata(like I say very committed). Having got the T-shirt etc she decided on a new challenge Cycling.

Since then she has done abit of riding including the 2009 Etape du Tour, Blue Ridge Parkway Epic, Vallee d'aulps Sportive Morzine, Grand Fondo Novi Colli and the totally crazy Ven-toux-Three (three ascents of the Ventoux in one day).

Now she wants to do something a bit challenging! and for Charity

    Her plan is to do:
The tour of California in 8 days 1,300km
Then Cycle across America 6,760km in 9 weeks followed by
the Cents Col Alpine Challenge 2,000km and 43,000m in 10 days

I'm sure you will agree this looks reasonably hard.....

She is doing this for various charities including
    Chase Hospice care
    Cyclist Fighting Cancer
    and the Lance Armstrong Foundation

The link to her site is

    http://www.thinkpinkcycling.com/

there is info on how to donate or support her cause.

Please take some time to check this out. She is a remarkable person.
