    Hard Luck

It is a race Preston Harriers have chosen for their club champs so there will be a few of us at least!

And a CVFR club champs race...
... and the Yorkshire championship race, too !

That means lots of people in front of me. As long as I can keep Weetabix Power within visible distance (with or without binoculars) that will be enough for me, since he's threatening to runaway with our club vets title this year.

First back, first Fell Pony that is, only Fell Pony i think, so i was last as well Cracking race, thanks Settle Harriers and marshals. Weather stayed fine, bit humid, but you could feel the temperature drop at the summit. Good descent back with a bit of a sting in the tail at Whitber Hill, looked worse than it was from a distance. Bumped into my old Physical Training Instructor from my TA days, used to run it every year and once came third. Must be approaching 70 now and still looked as fit as he used to. All in all a good day out, hope me legs are up to the Hebden Bridge tommorow, a few leg loosening cider's required now

ah, the penny's just dropped, from your avatar I thought you were the guy at the back in the picture but obviously not.
Think I was talking to you pre and post race and finished a few secs behind you. Also saw you camping at duddon last week.
Anyways, good to meet you and good luck with the run down south next week (assuming you are the bloke I was talking to eh).
I hope to have a little left to get me around ennerdale next weekend, argh!
    why do we do?
