Thinking of doing this one at the end of August has anyone done it before? Having done Chester Marathon last Monday I would like to do another within 3 months. From comments I have read it only seems to have a small field as it combines the half marathon as well with a dual limit of 500.
you are a glutton for punishment Pinno! I'm still tempted to do ONE marathon at some point myself, just not sure when....
I did the Fleetwood.
Not a bad race but horrendous conditions. Gale force head winds from Blackpool all the way back to Fleetwood and blinding sand storms on the 2nd loop out of Fleetwood.
Managed a not particularly fast 3 hours 50 which was still good enough to be top quarter or so of the field.
I enjoyed this one. I thought the hurricane was quite funny! It's fun doing a race in bonkers conditions!
Criminal lack of water stations though. Nothing after mile 16 for those of us near the back.
This was my second marathon, & the first I ran all of with no walking, so that makes it special.
