    James's Thorne

Thanks to Des and his team for yet another cracker, we even had clag and mud although the ground was still pretty hard as my messed up heel will testify.

First time on this race but will be back again and for a pint of landlord at the prize giving.

Grouse went well and left me on the climb but legs were a bit stronger than castleton.

Yup, thanks Des, nice variation to the route just to keep us on our toes. Track and road section always give me blisters on my heels which is also keeping me on my toes at the moment.

Top race although my novice legs paid the price from the Pennine Man v Bike last Thursday...Thanks again to Des. They'll be a write up and a pic in the Glossop Chronicle this Thursday.

Just wanted to add my thanks to Des and the marshallers too and to encourage more people to turn out for this one. Its got one of the longest fastest race decents in the peak district and should be in everyone's diary if they live anywhere nearby.

    Are the results online anywhere?
    Cheers

Des has sent the results to me and Brett, so I'm sure they'll be on the results page soon.

Thanks for posting the results Geoff. Slight correction to results required (Des/Brett): "Joanna Rinter", the race winner, is actually Joanna Porter. It's the first race she won so I'm sure she'd like the right name!!! - Cheers.

It is amazingly accurate as the stop watch I was using only went to the nearest second! I had enough trouble remembering minutes and seconds, let alone microseconds.

Reckon I was a nanosecond or so quicker than that.

You just can't get the timekeepers these days.
