Brilliant news Conor.
Will you call her Ben?
The invite arrived after the name was picked, so she narrowly escaped a lifetime of people asking how she ended up with a boy's name!
One week from now...haggis for breakfast and ironing the kilt...
Weather looks ok Conor.
Fair point but the path down from red burn is horrible on wet slippy rocks with tired legs.
Enjoy Conor
Aha...NOW I see what you mean! Fantastic event, all the excitement, the parade and pipe band, the challenge itself...but definitely lost about 10 minutes holding back on the way down. Had a couple of near misses before one hard fall on the flagstones took the wind out of me. Wanted to get into the top half and managed that, glad my teeth and limbs stayed unbroken...but I guess like any runner I'm already thinking about going back next year and running it faster...

Congratulations Conor on achieving your goal.
Time is irrelevant as it depends on traffic in front of you on the climb and descent.
Also a dry track is a godsend.
Well done and hope you get in next year.
Thanks. Yeah, definitely kinda coasted along content with the pace of those around me instead of forcing it. Only just about made the top half, overtook a couple near the end of the flagstones, another 2 or 3 on the road, and 1 on the last bend in the field itself, really glad I did as cut it very fine.
