didn't quite manage the full Killer on Sunday
started a bit later than I'd intended, plus started from Broadlee Bank with the ascent of Grindslow Knoll (don't ask)
I'd forgotten what a great route this is, and enjoyed the ascents of Jaggers and Blackden in particular
got as far as Kinderlow cairn, but was going to be borderline wrt daylight to complete, plus rain/wind had set in, so sacked off doing Kinderlow End-Edale Cross and Crowden Tower and just went straight back to the car at Upper Booth.
I was more or less bang on my 8:30 schedule though, and going well, so very pleased wrt how my training/fitness is going
Scramble the rock face through the glare of morning sun — to run
Good effort in the conditions Daz and a wise move to sack it off I think, I was out on the bike Sun afternoon and saw those dark clouds over Kinder, didn't look too pleasant. Monday was a little different.. I did my first longish fell run of the year over Mt Famine, South head, Mam Tor, Hollins Cross, Edale and back over Grindslow to Hayfield. Glorious sunshine and blue skies all the way !
Is there a link to the grid refs and the route? I couldn't find anything online?
All being well I'm having a run round this on Sunday

Ran the Killer yesterday, awesome route!
Just like the dozen, it's great for experiencing Kinder Scout.
4 of us completed the full route, while one chap set off from Edale, met us at Seal Stones and did a half, returning to Edale.
We took it fairly steady, enjoyed the views, contemplated the route, and had a few munchies stops. The weather was perfect, no clag, mild temperature and dry all day with little wind.
Finished in 9 hours 15.
Would recommend you try this if you haven't already, its brill!

Awesome route, had a fantastic day out. It took me 9.40 and i struggled the last 3 ascents as i'm quite unfit at this time. Great training and makes me want to spend more time in the Peak district.
I saw a weather window today. cool and clear. no rain so I went for it.
My first Kinder round since the heart op, I didn't think I had it in me but recent training is going well
sub 8 hours 44.3 km and 2,345m of ascent.
strava had it as sub 7 but I don't think that right...
