what does your other half do(how much can u get away wit

principly when your fell racing at a weekend race
since most forumites participate in lots of races a year i was wondering what an acceptable relationsip limit is.
my wife seems to have now accepted the fact that i race most weekends of the year, im not sayin she totally likes the way it is but more and more she is using this time to have more leisure time herself.

i was really wantin to know how other forumites partners react when you say oh by the way im doing this and that race.
its a balancing act aint it

    Indeed.

When i packed in cycling and took up running i had many many hours spare every week and usually only raced once per fortnight.
    = one chuffed wife

Then I resumed cycling AS WELL AS still running most days, so now i race one discipline or the other most weekends in summer. Winter is always a long run one day of the weekend and long bike the other.
= one less happy wife but I was doing this before we met so I cant see how she could complain (she doesnt anyway) (love her)

I try to have no more than three relationships on the go at once.

I take this approach "its the price you have to pay for having a fit and athletic husband - Imagine if I was a fat lard arse"

And no - It doesnt usually work either

My husband comes along too, holds my coat and gives me a cheer as I'm running.

The wife has had a foot injury for 2 years, before that she was a runner - she gets a bit pi**ed if I run too much now.
At least I get really bored road running so she only has to put up with my new fell running career.
