wow
I'm having an old friend for dinner
Having taken the best part of a week to complete the ridge last year, I'm just about speechless - mind you that did include setting up a bivvy, learning how to climb and retrieving the (unused due to wet weather) bivvy. Even discounting that, I still took two days!
A circular route mostly downhill
Awesome.
The prospect of even trying to race across ground like that is terrifying.
Three attributes required
- Incredibly fit
- Sensationally sure footed scrambler
- TOTAL common sense removal!
This is taking fell running to new extremes:
Inn Pin Down Climb
Fox Avatar "Protected" by Hester Cox - Printmaker
thats amazing. what a day to do it on too. must have been an incredible experience. I can remember downclimbing the inn pinn and looking down between my feet, but to have that and a sea of cloud must have been out of tis world. no wonder es called it heavenly.
for them that likes a longer challenge.
Rob Woodall set a 24 hr black/red and outlyingbits round a few years ago Yiannis Tridimas shortened the time the folling year as far as i know no=one else has had a try.....
But yiannis is having another go this May, and may be Rob. And Ali too I understand. Have a good one ali.
Pretty amazing stuff!
The Ridge is on my "To do" list as I have had 3 unsuccessful winter attempts
The 24h Black and Red + sounds interesting does anyone know where the details of Yiannis's route are?
In endless fruitless pursuit of roadrunners...
