    BG Success 5th May

Congratulations to Duncan Elliott, Bowland Fell Runners, for completing in 23-51 on Saturday/Sunday. Very well deserved after all the training.

    Cheers, Ali

Thumbs up Re: BG Success 5th May

Very well done especially since the weather was not too good on Sunday!

    Yeah, ditto.
We saw another attempt set off at 9:00 am Sunday morning as we had a cup of coffee outside "LUNCH" in Keswick. Does anyone know how they did?

    Well done.

It's strange where & when you meet people isn't it? I was recceing leg 1 on Friday night / Saturday morning. Running off Skiddaw towards Hare Crag at 1.20am, I saw a torch light ahead. Turned out to be Ali tucked up in his sleeping bag showing the way onto the trod! He told me there was a small cairn marking the fork in the trod a bit further down. Bugger! I still missed it & ended going to the left of Hare Crag! Soon spotted my mistake & only wasted a couple of minutes I suppose. Can you come and hold my hand in June, please, Ali?

ST - thanks for the offer. We should be ok, but if anyone drops out I'll definitely take you up on the offer. With all the recces you've done, you should be able to find your way with your eyes closed! Likewise, if you're stuck the week after, just give us a shout.
