Got the blue 3's I recon there as good as roclites for grip, don't clog with mud as easily, and seem to be well made. My shoe of choice for easier races in dryer weather and taking the dogs for a run.

"And what joy think ye, did they feel after the exceeding long and troublous ascent"
My favourite all round shoe, the Wave Harrier. I don't like red things generally (ok, that may be odd, but I can't help it!) so hopefully when they come out they'll be banging out the blue ones at massive discounts!
I've used Wave Harriers a fair bit, and they are great for hard packed surfaces, and for anything that isn't steep grass, or wet - I used them for the Rab '10 and Edale Skyline '11, both of which were dry races, though two grassy slopes did push the limits. They were absolutely awful for ascending Scafell Pike in the rain on a damp recce of Borrowdale - I did the race in Mudclaws, and was very glad I did. They were better on wet rock, and fabulous in particular when descending the steep grass off Dale Head.
Ran the CCC and Borrowdale in them. Best value shoe out there and offer a bit more support for the longer distances. Would still do the smaller races in mudrocs or similar.
