    Choices

Last remnants of the divorce - the house sale. Completion date is Friday 3rd September; so I need to be out before then...

Ex and kids will be moving up to the lakes probably early in the new year and I'll be moving up there too (to be near to kids) sometime later in the year.

Meanwhile I need somewhere to live... I had a nice flat lined up but the owners couldn't be out in time and after some more searching I'm down to a choice of two...

    Both are £500/month...

    1) Worsley: nice, quiet area, secure, convenient for motorway network, no hills, flat...
The flat is lovely but it's not handy for training off road (as far as I can tell so far).

    2) Clifton: not as nice, quiet and secure but even more convenient for the motorway network. Handy off road trails, fairly flat but some steep embankments for "hill" reps and a bit closer to the nearest hills (but not much).

    Hills. Of course.
Tao begets one. One begets two. Two begets all things.

There's a shortage of suitable places. Mostly the second bedroom is too small or the area is unsuitable.

Anyway, off to bed to sleep on it. Viewing the second one tomorrow afternoon.

Dave, if both options are only for the short term (as you state early next year you'll move again) then you need to figure out what is more important. If it's motorway network and accessibility to the hills/trails for running then you're best opting for the not so nice flat and putting up with it until you move on the basis it ticks the other boxes (and keep reminding yourself that!)
    OR
if you want the nicer flat then you have to decide are you prepared to drive out more often to hilly areas to get your training done?
