it doesn't matter if you're good or not ! These are just great, "real" fell running events !! Make sure you watch the childrens races too ! There's some real talent out there.

Not long now looks like it's going to be fine but possibly a bit muddy.

Sunday should be clear but unless tomorrow is extremely dry and sunny (which isn't going to happen) it will be quite muddy I imagine. Should be good fun

(I pretty much just re-worded your post Mr Brightside, sorry about that)

I did it a few weeks ago as my first 'proper' short fell race. Really enjoyed it, but holymoly did my lungs feel like they were gonna explode when i got to the top (and the bottom)!:w00t:

    enjoy

Certainly did. That has the added bonus of a coconut shy and greasy pole at the 'fair'!

Madness! I didn't think that we'd be coming down the dodgy bit of the fell that was really tricky. The descent from the fell wall was right up my street though, steep and fast but just rough enough to slow down some more cautious runners. It was a real power course and i couldn't believe how quickly the field was leaving me behind, you need to be a strong ascender to get anywhere on that course and i'm not. Bad luck to the KCAC guy who tried to sprint me to the line, i always save a bit for a dying seconds attempt on my position definitely there next year.

I really enjoyed it, came 38th in 19:28. The descent was great, Very sporting of the guy in front to allow me past. Appreciated mate if you're out there

Wow, i did better than i expected! 33rd 18.42. I must have really been flying on the descent i beat a couple of guys who usually beat me...strut

Did anyone take the fast route on the left hand side of the wall after hopping over the fell wall? I saw a guy nip over and scoot away so i thought, yeah i'll have some of that.
