Is anyone else doing this race on Saturday?

Did it last year and rolled my ankle very early on and then missed the last checkpoint so I'll be back to put things right..........
If my memory serves me well the weather was very hot last year and there were quite a few DNF. Mountain rescue were very busy too.
It's my first time at this one and am hoping it's not too hot.
Was the last checkpoint at Clod Hall crossroads or Birchens Edge last year?
Do what you like, like what you do
Sadly not. Did the first two, but they've now moved it (permanently) so it clashes with the RAB
Last checkpoint last year was on Birchens but it caused a lot of confusion. Personally I missed it and added 30 minutes on scrambling up and down trying to find it only to discover that its occupants had been called out to assist on a rescue. I'm pleased its gone. It's pretty much the same finish from Clod Hall without the hassle.
Was the curbar gap checkpoint actually in the carpark or at the point where the path/bridleway meets the road?
It seems to me more sensible to position it at the point where the path meets the road particularly if they want to encourage runners not to use the road.

Its at the point where the bridleway/path crosses the road.
Thanks for the info Mike,
See you there on Saturday,
Ian.

No bother. Looking forward to it now. Just got to double check I've full kit knocking around just in case and then I'm ready. I'll be there nice and early Saturday pottering about, feeding the ducks and changing my footwear 3 or 4 times
Thanks to race organisers and marshalls for another great day out, good conditions under foot and superb weather to boot.
I have to admit I was sceptical about my chances of finishing this one after picking up a groin strain last weekend but all went well on the day.
A thoroughly enjoyable course but I found the race rather lonely. After Moscar I didn't see another runner (either in front or behind) until below Birchens Edge.
The free drink at the Robin Hood at the end was most welcome.
