    UTMB etc 2011

It's not too early to start thinking about this.

    Enrolment arrangements here:

    http://www.ultratrailmb.com/page/19/2011_enrolment.html

Note the increased points requirements for the UTMB, now 5 not 4 and gained over a shorter time period.

If anyone is planning to use a 2010 Bob Graham completion as part of their qualifying position, the details of the 2010 completions will not hit the BG Club website until sometime in January 2011.

Those names will also be sent direct to the UTMB organisers shortly after they appear on the website.

I can supply a confirmatory email to the UTMB organisers to validate a BG completion if necessary.

Acually sorry I've read it properly now with 2009 BGR and Fellsman and the OMM 'A' Class this year that gives me 8 points so should be okay.

Its five points from a maximum of 2 races, but as the BG is 4 and the Fellsman 3 I think that should be ok - interesting that the A OMM counts but the elite does not

I thought that, I'm assuming it's bad translation and its 'A' Class minimum

Does anyone know next year's dates? I've looked on the UTMB website but can't find the information anywhere.....or is always held on the last weekend in August?

I have not done any of the UTMB series of races..... so far !
I have sufficient points to enter any of the races in 2011, but think that the CCC or TDS would be a good starter for next year.
Do these two races get oversubscribed like the UTMB does ?
Are you allowed to fill in an entry for more than one race, in an effort to get into one of them in a draw situation ?
I can't see anything on the UTMB website covering this situation, but I'm sure someone must have considered it or done it in previous years ?

    Can't answer all those questions.

CCC is a great starter but is usually oversubscribed. From memory the TDS wasn't this year. It's a bit longer and somewhat more off the beaten track.

As to multiple entries, I've no idea. You have to pay a Euro 50 deposit on application, and the balance within a short period of acceptance. I'd guess "No" but that if you don't get an entry for your choice (UTMB or CCC) you might be offered a place in the usually under-subscribed TDS?

Just a reminder that the pre-registration period opened on 22 December and closes on 12 January 2011.
