Please can anyone explain how to search the forums effectively. I feel there should be some instructions somewhere, but I can't find them. I remember someone recently recommended a Dog Dazer, but all my attempts to search for this either give me nothing or umpteen long threads which have buried somewhere in them some reference to dogs.

Just realised the QUOTES only works accurately at the THREAD search level. So the long winded method is to use the general search first then search the threads that appear in the list individually to list actual posts where the full string only is found. Can't believe there isn't a better method though?

Start a 'Dog Dazer' thread - that should do it!
In here http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/search.php?search_type=1 you can choose to display results as posts rather than titles of threads, which I sometimes find useful - not sure if that helps but thought I would mention it
