Thats nothing, I've seen lots of old dears in various parts of Leeds usually on same day in a queue outside a Post Office. Seem very well behaved.
My best deer experience was on the hills close to Kidsty Pike a herd of about 6 where slowly working there way up the same hill as we where about 1/4 of a mile away.
Also seen two at the back of Darwen Tower at the base of Aggies Staircase.

quick deer update - i have still not seen 'the gledhow deer'.
Saw a herd of 4 deer in Bramley Fall woods on my run to work this morning. What a treat!
i have a deer story for you all,i was driving my works van away from the drunken duck in ambleside, when a deer lept from one field over the wall, and over my van, twisting in mid air to avoid hitting the van and in one leap landed over the wall on the other side of the road and away, and no I hadn't been drinking.
Driving home from work in October just south of gosforth and a deer jumped a hedge and ran straight into my 3 day old golf. 2.5k worth of damage to the car and death to the deer, poor thing. Lots of them around west Cumbria, more than I can ever remember seeing, only ever crashed into the one though
Saw a huge herd of deer high up on the mountains east of Ullapool one Easter.... Tried to get close to them but they saw/smelt me before I'd even moved and they were off. Fantastic sight, in a stunning part of the world.
I see one quite regularly on my commute, it's often in some old allotments sandwiched between Bingley by-pass and the canal at three rise locks, all of ten metres from the road.
i saw one hop out of a garden early one morning in Skipton. I was on my bike and it trotted away in front of me until it found a field to jump into.
lots of things around if you care to look
