    Reservoir Roundabout 8/1/11

    I'm game for this one
fancied doing something around the Elan Valley for a while now, and this is the obvious introduction
assume route will be as per Moley's description:

    or does anybody know different...?

Anything could happen. I did it last year just after one of the big dumps of snow. Nearly every other event was cancelled that weekend but they went ahead with this, changing the start venue and the route. It was mostly low level as a result, but there was still a river to cross (you couldn't use the stones as they were ice-covered, so it was numb feet from that point on), and snow up to our waists at one point. We had a brilliant day. See you there.

I may try again this year, didn't make it last year for various last minute reasons. Route is basically always the same, unless weather changes things (2010 for instance, or floods etc). Nice day out to blow the christms cobwebs away!

Not enough well worn trails and signposts for you northerners?

See you there Daz, & I'll try to put a face to the name. Anyone else coming? Moley? I could do with sorting out what you look like too. I asked a few on my way round last year, but of course you weren't there. Runners start 9:30 according to the LDWA website. I'll be the one carrying 7 pounds of weights as a training exercise. Mostly round my middle.

I believe the race is on as Ive not heard or read any difference, confirmation would be good though I suppose.

I am turning up if anyone fancies a brew before / after.

Defo be there (barring upsets). Always on and Carl (organiser) won't cancel it unless the world caves in. I shall be with the 'very slow' contingent and enjoying my tea stops. Think a few of the Newtown boys are coming for a trot out. See you all at the start.

Sore Legs .......it's not a bloody race!!!
