What, tougher than Wasdale or Ennerdale?

Is it me or does it not matter one jot? Why do we worry about categorising things like this?

All these races are different. Each one has it's own atmosphere and charm.

The three peaks does have a special feel about it though, as though it's more of an event than a race. Whether it's down to tradition, the course, the size of the event, the time of year or some combination of these.

It's certainly not down to the the fact that it's down in the book as a category A race, erroneously or otherwise. So, why worry about it?

Well said Swiss - there is alot of county pride at stake sometimes though, whether that's Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire or Cumbria (or even counties in Wales and Scotland with funny names ) and, like fell shoes, mine are always better than yours

Hasn't this whole thread been about people who took up fell running three weeks ago finding solutions to a problem that people who have been running the Three Peaks for 50 years did not know existed?

    And actually doesn't.

    Yawn.

Wouldn't it be so much better if everyone agreed on everything.

... I have to take issue with you there . (Is this the right room for an argument?)

    FYI

    3 Peaks gear online:

Just posted a similar thread in "Equipment" but figured most of you would get the PPP race alert.

Sorry Calf, I'm not interested! But welcome back anyway. Where have you been for the last 3 months?
