got ill after my big easter weekend - not the worst tonsillitis i've had but annoying enough - had a full week off running (resting over lovely weaher weekend dagnamit) and still couldn't get rid - stayed of work today and went to the docs - got some penicillin - hope it works

looking a lot more abrupt a taper than i would have planned

    good idea

But I'm usually OK with 'a lot, not very often', even though I know it's not the recommended way.

amazing how quickly the ground has dried out,was quite fast,paths/tracks solid.
might wear the new walshes, more for comfort than anything else.
Went over Pen-Y-Ghent to Ribblehead on the same day (missed you by mins I reckon as Matt was still in the cafe) and the ground is quite hard a part from the section between the shooting hut (top of Pen-Y-Ghent Lane) and the Peninne Way, which was very very wet!

Hope this mini heatwave we're experiencing cools down. Pleased to see the 2 additional water stops. Training seems have to have gone reasonably well for me compared to previous years - will just have to keep everything crossed for the countdown.

I hoping for driving rain and high winds so that the non-locals can experience what the 3 peaks are like for the rest of the year round

Looks like you may be getting your wish. Just looked at at the long range weather forecast on Metcheck. High winds, sleet and very cold - only about 1c
