Sure the Bog Monster will be on the parking field in Horton to stop us supporters getting off the field to see you mid race .
Hope they will have the tractor on stand by ready to pull me out of the mud?

I was going to go and support my fell running fella but he has had to pull out due to injury. I was taking my road bike and was going to cycle to points where he crosses roads to support. Might be an idea if the field is too boggy to move cars or ....... As my mate is going to do, sit in the pub till it's done and have her fella a drink waiting ;-)

PS Everyone racing, supporting or marshalling have a great day, keep safe, hope you meet the times you want. Above all, have loads of fun :-) x

Hi, Does anyone know what time the car parking field is likely to open? Rather than setting off really early in the morning I was thinking of travelling late tonight and sleeping in the car which would be better off the road and in the car park.

Rich in previous years the field has been open the evening/night before for parking and camping. Just pull on the field and Peter Butterworth will cone over and charge a fiver or something.

Not sure about what state the field will be in this year though...

RichK thanks for the info, I'll bring some wellies ready to help with the pushing and shoving of cars at the end.

The fields in Horton could be very soggy indeed.

However, I'm probably a bit more worried about the river crossing. I did it last summer after it had been wet and it wasn't easy, and there had been a lot less rain than there has been in the last few weeks!
