Well, all good advice from Daz; but I think the school run ain't such a good idea (for Freddie frog's sake).

Try to avoid handling wee chappie. I'd say take Freddie to nearest bit of stream/pond-works and release there (on bank rather than turfed in ) . It'll know what to do and where to go.
