    what about Aran ?
I think they should confirm the team before July to get the selected runners a chance to concentrate on the race itself.other wise the runners that are in the mix have to do a lot of racing just to try and prove a point.the previous 3 - 6 months running form should be a good enough indicator of form if they did their research right.

I thought that but Aran is too late..

You'd have thought early warning would be nice...when I first ran I didn't get selected until 10 days before and that was only after an email to WA saying make a call, I had a 20 mile british champs race the week after so wanted to know what to focus on..

form doesn't change that much does it? all too complicated..

    Snowdon should be interesting then.
I went up with Al V yesterday (race route) he`s doing sub 50 min ascents,i was up in 54 min hopefully get it down to 50-51 on race day.Al could be a contender for the `fest goch` too by the sounds of things.

Good going, in the race I've done 54 in 2008, 52 in 2009 and 53 last year, and 1:20, 1:20, 1:19 time wise. Faster this year, hope to get 1:17 something...

Al needs to do a few mediums I reckon, at the moment his form is all short stuff and with a few vying for vests.

Just copied this off WA website:

"Due to inconsistent form over recent months it has been decided to use The Great Orme fell race on Tuesday 14th June as the official trial race for the Welsh team for the 2011 International Snowdon Race".

    Interesting move.

I think it might be the same with the junior runners. Good young runners who turn up consistently being ignored, while non mountain runners being chosen!
Can anyone think of anybody? :w00t:
