    They also sell socks very cheap!

    That's socks, as in footwear, rather than the esteemed forumite!

    Decathlon is awesome!!

    I don't care how knowledgeable the staff are or aren't - thats the same virtually all sports shops, apart from a few specialists and generally they don't have my shoes in on the cheap, so i've never got shoes from there.

    But, their training tops - the dirt cheap £5 ones are brilliant! For training in they're as good as the £20 offereings from Nike, Adidas etc, but you can afford to not put the washing machine on for 4 times as long!!

    Also, rucksacs, balls of all descriptions, cycling gear, all come highly recommended.

    Only problem is everytime you go you want to take up a new sport. I've beend ragged away fromt he Archery section on more than one occasion, though I WILL get a bow someday...........

    How much is that big plastic horse they've got in there - I can't see a price tag on it. It'd look great in my garden.
