Is this a publicity stunt? I bet they have camera crews following him and it becomes a documentary. Is this what fell running wants?

Personally I would like to see a documentary of something like the BG. If it encourages more people to talk to the hills then I think it would be a good thing. RF is highly respected in all the fields he has ventured into and I see no reason why fell running should be any exception.

Thats how he makes a living isn't it?
I'll be more impressed with this than his Eiger stunt though

Widdy 'if it encourages more people to talk to the hills'...we've got enough nutters talking to trees never mind hills ;-)

Not entirely sure we want 'the masses' being encouraged to do the Bob Graham or taking to the hills. At the risk of sounding selfish let them stick to their charity road races and triathlons rather than tramping through the hills with all the additional problems that will bring (litter, erosion, not to mention taking up mountain rescue resources!!)

Have you seen her plan for carb-loading at each road crossing?...

Fitness can't be stored. It must be earned over and over, indefinitely.

Have you never talked to the hills?! I don't think we will get to a point where there are masses of people running on the hills, when I go out I am lucky to see anyone.

Nice avatar by the way my favourite film of all time.

To be fair the old b*gger has Water-shedded (HPM'd), more than once & plainly much much more....

And to be unfair, I suspect there is money involved, which is completely against my understanding of the ethos.... but, I'm often wrong... and perhaps "young" Bob G was seeking fame & publicity too....

    Hmmmmm?

I also expect... the "charity" word will feature somewhere in this pursuit and if it does, and if it is really valid in the "right" cause & direction, and there is no benefit to the participants, I'm sure we will be happy & shouting on the day...

    Watch this space?? or Knott..
    Miss Muddy Paws Dad....
    Not clever & often stupid..
