Just had a resport of some snow in wasedale but apparently roads still passable - anyone any news on honister road?

Baggins was down on schedule through Threlkeld, conditions reported as 'bad'. Road support is in position at Dunmail, awaiting an update from them before we leave home and head for Honister; we could well be walking in from Seathwaite, with the big pack and microspikes!:w00t:

Good morning. I just got off Seat Sandal after 4 hours 35 navigating in 5m vis cloud in the snow with a left eye frozen shut. Made a few errors...but he is still going wellepic night!

Daniel was 15 min late Dunmail but looking ok.
Road conditions - coming in to Wasdale from Gosforth lots of snow on the road, using chains. If you need updates am on 07720461716
3.5cm of snow fallen in the A'side since about 6am, though little wind at this level. Forecast to improve.
Lots of encouragement from Ambleside AC and a few sore heads from last nights xmas do!
