New Years resolutions

Anybody got any ?

My fell related ones are as follows :

1 ) Yorkshire 3 Peaks race in under 4 hour 30
2 ) Run and survive one of the classic Lakes races probably Wasdale
3 ) Knock 30 mins of my Pendle time of 3:45
4 ) Knock 30 mins off my Hope Moors and Tors time of 4:18
5 ) Knock 15 mins off my Windgather 13 time of 2:15
6 ) Run the Welsh 3000s

7 ) Do all the above without the wife saying " You never want to spend any time with me anymore "

I'd like to think Numbers 1-6 are tough but realistic.

Number 7 I would say is 99.999 % impossible and 99.999 % unrealistic but you never know ?

You're obviously new this marridge negoiating, what you should be saying is "You never come out with me or support me in my leisure time activities"

There shouldn't be a huge difference in dates from one year to the next. Which bit of the Pyrenees are you going to?

Ariege, also with a few days in Carcassone and Perpignan to watch Leeds Rhinos,my Rugby team, who are playing Catalans. Hopefully catch a mountain stage of the Tour de France as well.

1: Fellsman
2: Push a route from my doorstep at Slawit down to my Sisters at Great Hucklow
3: Double Marsden
4: Have a go at a sub 5 Tanky's route
5: Have a shuffle round the HPM route

Personally...
1: Drop a dress size!
2: be nice to children
3: I would like there to be peace in the world
4: Find a solution to global cooling

I need to get some decent hills in, and also do some longer training runs.
A bit late really, I've entered Rombalds Stride, I want a crack at the Hobble, and the Fellsman is unfinished business.
Tomorrow, honest, I'm off out for a long-ish run...

3, marathon in under 3.15
4, learn to navigate
5, BGR attempt
6,do my first ultra of 40miles +
7, learn to swim good enoguh 2do a triathlon / ironman
8, do as many races as possible an meet new people along the way an have fun
9, get the course record in both the club handicap races

Ooops! I will certainly give this a spring time bash, a mere oversight. I am also planning something secret that was just a dream 18 months ago, but I will keep that close to my ample chest for now.:wink:
