Thanks for the photos, Dan, and thanks for turning out with little 'un to support us. I just about managed to get one of you on the fly as well. The best of mine are here.

Many thanks to Brett and all his helpers for yet another superb Hobble, which seems to go from strength to strength if that's possible. The weather smiled upon us this year as well. And thanks once again to Mr Brightside for the cheeky little snifter at Mankinholes. It lubricated the doughnut a treat (as if a jammy greasy doughball needs lubricating).

I am getting better, its a Sony Bridge camera but the zoom is awesome so easy to get quality shots from distance, I like the ones which show the runners decending with todmorden centre in the background.

What about thanks to the great photographer who captured your whisky moment so brilliantly?

"My legs felt okay ironically but I was all round very weary for the last 11 or 12 miles". I had the opposite experience. I had enough endurance but my legs just wouldn't work. I struggled even to walk the steep downhill into Hebden Bridge and seriously thought I might have to give up. Then the steps. Aaaarrrrgh! But the road up to Heptonstall was okay: a very slow but steady walk. Then I struggled again to get down the track. Going up from Horse Bridge (still walking - I walked most of the last seven miles) I even managed to overtake a handful of people.

But what a tremendous event! Superbly organised (thanks everyone), blessed with near-perfect weather, and what magnificent terrain! It had been "on the radar" for me for a while, and although I was a bit disappointed with my time (over an hour slower than I had hoped for) it was a fantastic day out.

Another great Hobble - many thanks to Brett and KCAC. I've brought together links to race reports from Karen, Stolly & Nigel Aston, and to loads of photos, on the Runfurther.com news page. The race results are there too, and the initial Runfurther leaderboard.

Hope you get that foot sorted out soon Karen!

Entry came through today... Thank you Brett.

Hoping that pacing the first half of the race a bit better, will leave me a bit in the tank to push on the last 7 miles or so, where I capitulated last year...

    Great race...
