    @DT and Graham Breeze: how about start of as fast as you think you can maintain for the full race. keep re-assessing this. then if towards the end you can go faster that's a bonus. if you can maintain it all the way but can't go faster you've probably paced it perfectly!

    Compulsory tactic is whatever you do, make sure you can still manage a sprint finish for the crowds from Haworth Church to the finish. Even if you have walked most of the way from Heptonstall….!
