    Just run through!

Its a problem getting people to marshal at the monument for 6 hours - can't for a minute think why
this is a short time at checkpoint!
for 12 years we ran the yarnbury checkpoint on the fellsman, this checkpoint is open for 22 hours!
we now cover cray, this is only open for about 18 hours.
if i wasn't doing the hobble i'd be happy to be at a checkpoint.
if i get round ok i'll give a hand at HQ when i finish.
Short arms and deep pockets. A yorkshire man.

Really enjoyed this event. Turned up a bit late so got stuck behind the masses for the few miles but once we got to the reservoirs the field soon spread out a bit. Hardest parts I thought were the steep taemac downhill into Hebden Bridge and the final climb to the finish.
    Well done Brett and team.

I'd like to say thank you also for a good event, will be back next year. Said hi to Brett but he was a bit busy(understandably) Didn't manage to find any other forumites, but I'm sure they were there.

Another great day organised by K & C, well done Brett, even the weather was damn near perfect.

Managed to get a pb by 1 hour 6 mins !!! 4:52 which amazed us

IanDarkPeak, think it was you who was sat beside us outside, the guys you gave the lift to on the Calderdale Relay ! Hows the lump on the achilles ?

    Re: Wuthering Hike

    We were there
Great fun, in a retrospective sort of way, thanks to all involved. Our target was 8 hours, we managed under 6 and three quarters so rather pleased, given the total lack of training. Just seen the results, there are some very fit people out there!
Are the results complete? It seems unusual that everyone finished in under 10 hours...

There are complete! It's never happened before - took me by surprise! So much so I only started clearing up after the last walkers came in, still didn't get back home (well, The New Inn!) till 9-00pm!

    Hi Denzil

Yep that was me. The lump seems fine although I was pretty worried at the time. I've just been for a slow 5 mile road run and it seems ok, doesn't hurt in road shoes so will try it with fell shoes later this week. Perhaps it's just those shoes I ran in which is a pity because I like them

I'll see what it's like tonight after a local 6k road race. I would usually miss this out but it's the last one of the winter series and we are all going for a meal afterwards.

    See you at the Skyline

Might be difficult to break next year.

We might have to move back to Haworth, which adds another 2 miles on!

That's quite impressive - even though it makes our lowly 171st place look even worse
Any non-finishers? We passed a few about 10 miles from the end who looked just about done in, I hope they managed to finish!

in total about 20 people who retired, through injury or tiredness. About average if it's fine!
