    Brilliant, thanks Invisible.

Was up there on Sunday....ran into 3 Mercia runners who offered to take me around the route but I didn't have time But I might try and get out there next weekend instead.

Strange that, I never seem to be able to view Mercia site properly. I'm using Firefox rather than IE.....is this why?

Their website seems to be back up now. It was down for ages last year.

In fact Juicer, it is a Firefox v IE issue!! I'm not as daft as I look

Mercia site doesn't work properly in Firefox - can see Clee details but no others!

Right, I'll go and get the 1:25000 map and study the route

Ach, just noticed that the CP grid refs don't look quite right!! Not unless they're all in the same place?!?

(or am I just being stupid?)

    In a word........YES!!!

The big thing about this race is that the tough climbs all come at the end.....so plenty of people go flying off at speed and then find they have nothing left in the tank for the last 3 hills.

Get yourself over and have a recce if you can. If you want any navigational tips, feel free to ask. it's a great race, you really must do it!

I'm not doing it Trogging and Winter Hilling this weekend instead.

    Re: Long Mynd

    Cheers for the response
Winter hill was the other race i was thinking of but long Mynd it will be!
No chance of getting over for a reccee before so am going to have to hope its an easy enough route to follow on the day unfortunatley.
Are there many route variations or is it quite simple? Quite new to fell running and dont have the best sense of direction!
