What a day! The Screes fell race was the longest race I'd been in until this.

Was looking at getting round in 5 hours so tried to take it easy at the start but got carried away, it was only when I realised I was about to overtake Wendy Dodds on the way up Harter fell I slowed down a bit.

I had planned to go a bit harder up Little Stand so started passing people which I continued doing down to Three shires and up Swirl How, slowed a little bit on the fast runing around to Walna Scar then just hit the wall hadto walk to White pike, just wanted to throw up but had to fire jelly babies down instead, thanks to the marshals on White pike that water kept me going.

Cramped up just as I went into the field at the finish that was the longest 100m in the race, but I finished in 4:18!

    Ennerdale bring it on

Great race, but a bit hot at the start. I was probably about 200th at the top of Harter, but started picking people off after there as I began to feel stronger & just managed to sneak into the top 50. The envelope was for 5th Vet 45 - I couldn't believe it!!
I'm suprised Huwski had any to offer - I thought I ate/drank it all!! My thanks, again, Huwski - you kept me going!

Well done Geoff - I'll try and beat you at Angus Munro - good luck with the BG, that'll bugger you!

Hey Bill are you implying that cramp wasn't genuwine??

Top day out. Thanks to the organisers and the very friendly marshalls. The 'do' after was good too, perhaps a bit 'too' good

    Cheers, Ali

PS thanks to Huwski for the mini mars bar and support

Oi! Who pinched the splits for White Pike?

Also, if anybody's listening, it would be great to have the results in .xls (spreadsheet) format - please!
