Cheers
looking forward to this now
did it 3 years ago as my first Superlong
staggered in near the back in 5:59
last night devised a cunning 5:15 schedule, so can push for sub-5 if going well, or hold on for sub-5:30 if struggling...

You should be on for 5.15 Daz! I did 5.14 in 2010 and my guess is you're much fitter than I was then!

Well I've gone and booked a holiday overseas now so I'll miss it. Fly out 31st May :/
Have to find something to replace it when I get back.
I am looking for a lift over to Duddon Fell Race next weekend.
I live just outside Penrith, but could get to Keswick.
Any help much appreciated.

Many thanks to organisers and marshalls for a cracking race. My first time on the Long Duddon - took me an age but very enjoyable!
Beautiful day for it, loved (most of) the short one. Hope you folks enjoyed the long.
why do we do?

Echoing thanks to the organisers and marshals for yesterday's race. Weather was perfect - it was nice to see the route after thick clag for most of the way last year. Results on web-site already.
Many Thanks to RO/marshals/helpers for an absolutely text-book day with perfect weather thrown in
Amazed that there were only 137 starters for what is now confirmed as my second favourite fell race (after Wasdale, obviously) - you can see round most of the route from most of the route (if that makes sense) and it's got good variation of big/small ups/down/flat bits and enough nav/route choice to keep it interesting
fjell_guy - I clocked 5:11 so you'll have to do it next year to improve on that!

Nice one Daz!! If I get my act together next year I definately want to get more racing done, I'm not very well sorted this year with a few things. Doubt I'll get to Bullock Smithy Mrs TFG has a problem with her knee so that needs sorting, and I've had distractions at work and poor focus on training. But next year....Duddon certainly is a great race, as are all the Classic Longs. I'll probably bump into you at Buttermere HS if I can convince myself I can complete at least!
