Thread: Montane Minimus Shell

    Montane Minimus Shell

Has anybody tried one of these out - looks incredible breathable and waterproof, and very light.

Was looking for something a bit cheaper but if it is really good I might save a bit longer, really need something for light and fast in the UK in summer and in India in the monsoon - and maybe for winter but only low level stuff.

Have you got the name right? I googled Montane Minimus Shell but nothing came up, except many other options from Montane.

Confusing care instructions: "Never tumble dry" - later it says:" if necessary tumble dry on cool setting" -doesn't exactly give you confidence .....

Why would anyone want to tumble dry a waterproof anyway?

this looks pretty similar to the Marmot Mica - a touch heavier I think, and £30 more but with the pocket in a better place

Most reproofing products require you to tumbledry after washing to reseal the jacket.
I use grangers and I find it makes a big difference when you use the dryer.
