and the black ones look ok

Just got some of these myself. Nice and comfy on the hard tracks but unstable compared to inov-8. Twinged my ankle twice within 5 miles. Will try and get used to them but suspect i will use mine for casual wear.
Anti, forgive me for asking but what shoes do you usually buy?

I used Speedcross 2's to get into fell running. Must say they did me a great service. Didn't have any trouble going over on ankles, and they were very comfortable. Grip was pretty good, but there was a definite drop off as it wore down.

Will maybe pick up another pair of salomons in the future, I like them.

I have to agree with the comments about grip in wet or greasy conditions but I like the snug fit and comfort so I am prepared to make some compromise.

Anyone any recommendations on an alternative that still gives a narrow fit like the salomon?

the solomans are a wide fit compared to inov 8 or walshes so pretty surprised you think there narrow. really hope they bring some out with a low profile heel because i love the uppers.
dont know where im going, dont know where ive been, all im doing is running, running to have fun.
