Thread: Short Film on Fellrunning

    Re: Short Film on Fellrunning

I remember inadvertently doing one of the Bedlamite runs in October 2009, after my friend invited me to a 'run' up Ingleborough at night.

When I turned up I noticed there were quite a few people around, and the next thing I knew, I was thrown a Petzl headtorch and told it was a race!

Managed to run up ok, but on turning around the head torch was useless, and I lost loads of places, until eventually being 'towed' down by owner of this forum!

    Many thanks again!

BTW I've never ran in one again!

Well KK in that single post you have exorcised all your previous misdemeanours and are now on my "good guys" list.

    So that's three of you.

I really enjoyed the film, it's excellent and worthy of more than one award I'd say! Good luck with the Beeb and congratulations on a wonderful piece of work.

If you have ten minutes to spare, here's another of our films about littering that made it to the bbc filmnetwork:

I'm not surprised it made it on there it's brilliant! Is Uncle David still picking up litter?

Thanks! Yes, we still see Uncle David picking up litter. He's a very brave man...very inspirational.

Are we supposed to know who you are? - my reaction to: "Dont you know who I am?"

No it's a response to the Forum Names thread! I'm Dan Sims and I run for Pennine, just a mediocre runner and a local newspaper reporter, nothing special!

I'm glad Uncle David is still picking up litter, he comes across as a very charming man in the film. His story about the pen knife was quite profound.

Every day I receive calls and emails about terrible things happening here in Tameside, so it's nice to watch a film like that and be reminded of the good folk in the world.
