    Lancs Fell Champs - Pendle

Just a final reminder that the Lancs Fell Champs are returning for the Seniors - not sure when they were last held but I'm really looking forward to it.

U23 will run with the Seniors as will the U18s. Senior Race start at 2:00pm

There will be 2 automatic Inter Counties places for the 1st and 2nd eligible Male and Female athletes and we also have an innovative Senior Team Award.

    More details are below.

County Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female (Open)
County Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female VETS (MV40+ / FV35+)
County Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female U23
Best County Senior Fell Team Award
Based on best 4 Male and Best 2 Female Finishers calculated by finishing position - Senior, VET and U23 are eligible - lowest score wins. In the event
of a tie, the next best finisher will decide the outcome.

    Boys & Girls under 18 years as at Midnight 31st December 2010 / 1st Jan 2011
U18s run with the Seniors but will not be eligible for the Senior County awards
U23 and VET athletes are eligible for the Open awards

The Lancashire Championships is open to all athletes who have a Lancashire Qualification which may be acquired as follows :-
    a) by BIRTH or
    b) by 9 months continuous residence in the county of Lancashire immediately prior to the date of these
    Championships.
The County boundary is the current geographical boundary of Lancashire and includes the Isle of Man.

Held under FRA Rules Entry on the Day
Clubs must be affiliated to Lancashire AA to be eligible for the Team awards

In this first year we will have just one VET category for Men +40 and Women +35. Given good support for the race I hope to be able to expand on this
in the future and increase the number of age bands represented.

Very good field ,there seems to be a few errors in the results though, guy in front of me appears to have changed sex in the results. On a more surreal note,I appear to have placed in one of the coffin dodger classes
