    Harden Moss Fell Race

As usual the James Blakley (Harden Moss) Fell Race takes place on Saturday 23rd June. 3m, 600ft, plenty of prizes, a well marked not too technical but pretty tough course. Just pay entry to trials field, race is free. Start about 3:15-3:30 pm depending on when they can get the sheep cleared from the trials field.
Further info at www.holmfirthharriers.com or pm me.

    James Blakeley - Harden Moss

Don't forget this one, it's still going. A good little race, sheepdog trials as well and as it is a Holmfirth Harriers centenary race a t shirt thrown in. Details in the calender or Holmfirth website.

ps, 600ft is probably nearer the mark, I don't know where 900 ft came from.

The page link takes you to the info for 2007. Will it be at the same time this year - the calendar gives the start time as 3pm?

Could do with an update, it's this Saturday (21st), officially 3pm but it will probably be nearer 3.30pm. Those sheep are a bit of a handful and the fell race fits in a convenient gap in the trials.

Would have loved to come , rescue team are to be there as well, but in't lakes wi' Dark Peak for BG weekend. This is definitely silly season with all that goes on. Can't fit everything in though.
    Hope all goes well.

It's a loop of the trials field, right on Harden Moss Road, turn left on the footpath, down to join Harden Hill Road to Royd Bridge, turn left to join Harden Moss Road again, back up to the field and straight to the finish

Does anyone know if this race was a new course? because it is advertised in the handbook as a new route.
