Anyone doing Wray Caton on Monday?

I'll have a battle against my daughter and suspect that she may give me a run for money as she seems to have improved somewhat since returning to running in races after a gap of about 15 years.

I will probably be there, the family like the fair so it would be rude not to run. Allow plenty of time for the traffic, some people have been stuck and missed the start before now!

I'll be taking the kids up to see the scarecrows etc but not running. Now I just need to find out where it is!

Come off the M6 at junction 34, head east and follow the signs then sit in the traffic jam trying to get into the village. To avoid that we are going to see the scarecrows this evening

No traffic jam today! Typical bank holiday weather. Good race though even managed to fall over on soft stuff rather than anything too painful.

No traffic jam going but horrendous coming back! Waiting to see the results to see exactly what margin I beat me young'un by.
Not a good day for spectators/fellow travellers.

Re: Wray Caton Fell Race Resul

According to results, I was 25 seconds quicker than my watch time. I'm sure I stopped it on the finish line. Also course records smashed - which could be down to perfect conditions, but anyone else notice similar discrepancy?
if they are correct, I've improved by 8 minutes in a year, and not being in the first flush of youth, am quite happy with that.

Hi, Yes I noticed a similar discrepancy. Flattering!! First time I've done it, must be quite a bit slower going if wet/boggy?
