I wore trail shoes and they were great, had a good fly back down the mountain, boy it was hot hot hot in places. A brilliant atmosphere at all points on the route. think I'll be back for more next year.
    why do we do?

You overlooked Katie Ingram's 1:15:34 in 2009. 3rd fastest time, after two of Carol's.

Given how the paving slabs are on the path now, and also things like tweaks to the summit route etc, can direct time comparisons be made? I've only done 2011 and 2013 versions, but I suspect the descent would have been much quicker without the big slabs / steps and also this year would have been quicker if we had gone down the railway rather than up.

So you're saying Katie's run in 2009 is even closer to Carol's record?

    Deffo...

BuT I'm not sure exactly what routes the records were set on...

The big short cut bottom of allt moses to half way was huge.. thats now gone, but I'm unsure if katie took that..

Otherwise the route was faster before all the slabs and erosion..

2014: Murray Strain and everyone else who is disappointed because they're not going to win jack at the halfway house and jog back for tea and barra brith. Andi Jones looks round at the bottom of Allt Moses and suddenly feels even more disappointed....
