    Really quite big fell shoes?

An enquiry from a large-footed friend - about size 13(UK), depending on who's making them...

His always slightly too small Walshes have died. This is probably a good thing having seen what happened to his toenails in them! <\eek> So now he's in the market for some new fell shoes, mostly for training and the LAMM type events rather than short fast races. Who does what in that size? Inov-8 seem to only go up to 12. Salomons probably a bit too 'trail' for that kind of terrain. Any ideas? I live in NZ now so am no use at all to him...
Ta muchly, any bigfooted fell runners out there, and no he's not going completely barefoot!

PS You should have seen him in his plastic winter boots. Doubled up as kayaks for the rest of the year

That's interesting; as far as I can see the inov8 website says up to 12. Maybe Inov8 Insider can shed some light....
    Thanks

The following are available in UK 13:
    ROCLITE- 285/295
    TERROC- 330/345GTX
Its worth asking about MUDCLAW 333 as I think these may have been available at some point.

Just to let you know Inov-8 Insider has now left the company:wink:

Ah yes, 333s look to be the most appropriate. Thanks insider and creaky.

No, I just staggered around by myself :-)
One of the clubs did use to run past the house though, down the end of Goose Lane before you get to the fields and head off down towards the reservoir. Nice place to live - could run for an hour from there with about 200m on roads, not bad for an old industrial city between motorway, railway and the Mersey... good pub too!
