Thread: Wasdale

    Re: Wasdale

A bit 'off-thread' but seeing as I started the thread...

My foot injury will prevent me from racing at Wasdale but I still intend being there to do some walking (running if poss.) around the area on the Saturday and Sunday.

The route I am planning for Saturday goes something like - Brackenclose, Yewbarrow, Red Pike, Steeple, Pillar, Kirkfell, Gt. Gable, Esk Pike, Ill Crag, Broad Crag, Scafell Pike, Scafell, Brackenclose - don't think I've missed any!

If anyone with some of that fancy mapping software would like to measure the route and give me the ascent/descent I would be more than grateful

Of course, if anyone fancies joining me, the more the merrier!

Might have to be an early start though

This was my first superlong race and probably one of my proudest running achievements so far! Took my time and stuck with other runners in a group and was really pleased with my run considering the furthest I'd ever ran (even in training) was around 16miles. Mountain Hare has answered my question of the missing Joss naylor certificate, which will take pride of place above my toilet me thinks!! highly reccommended race not for faint hearted!! good luck
