Gil Scott-Heron has died at the age of 62 . The cause of his death is still unclear.
The influential musician and poet - often given a 'Godfather Of Hip-Hop' nickname he rejected - passed away in New York's St Luke's Hospital yesterday.
How many more greats are we gonna lose this year. RIP Gil

I saw him live at Glastonbury in the early eighties and was an immediate fan.
I think I read somewhere that his dad was the first black player to play for Celtic back in the 50's.
