    South Cumbria , Clubs ?

Hi im new to Fell running ( not really started yet ) been road running for over a year with a few trails , i did Edinburgh marathon in may 5hrs so im not very quick and im doing the ron hill half marathon trail this weekend , so i do have a little bit fitness.

Anyhoos i want to get running the fells as i enjoy walking them and would really like to join a club, for motivation and help with my confidence on the fells , well im from Barrow in furness ( as south before you fall in the sea ) and wondered what folks recommendations are ?

When i say im from Barrow i actually mean im Scottish but now live in Barrow for the last 8 years for my sins ( joke ) love it really, have to say that or i may get lynched :w00t:

Your nearest club would be Black Combe.
Then there's Helm Hill or Kendal.
My own club Ambleside will always give you a warm welcome. Very friendly club open to all abilities and most training runs start/finish from a pub.
