Some b******d has used my credit card account

I've still got the card (not lost), but he made 5 withdrawls in a couple of hours before it was blocked. Not a card I had used for a month, not a debit card either. So how does this happen?

You have been skimmed I reckon! Think it has happened to Wheeze as well.

Happened to my Mum yesterday but thankfully only for a dollar before the credit card company picked up on it. It's not good. Not good at all.

we had it with our company cards once and the bloody phones got cloned
hope your bank have covered it moley
i take out an insurance thngy against it ( about £8 a year) , well amanda sorts it

Sorry to be thick, but how do they get the details of my card ? Especially as it hasn't been used in ages, isn't a debit card and never used for withdrwing from cash machines etc.
