This looks like really good fun, thanks for organising it Noel. I'll be along with my husband - I love the uphill slogs and tend to take twice as long down Cumberland Brook as he does, so it sounds like the perfect race!

Not able to make this, Noel- sorry. Ankle is still stuffed from Otley Chevin 4 weeks ago, it's a tendon and ligament affair and i can't do any better than flat trails. It's really taking its time.

That's a shame Mr B. I was looking forward to meeting you. I hope you're back on the fells soon (but don't rush it).

Yes, you had me worried for a bit. The finishing funnel couldn't some soon enough.

    Good luck next week.

Me too Noel. I'm ok on flat surfaces but short races are never flat or easy. The joint bears weight perfectly but all the tendons and ligaments were badly overextended during an inversion sprain, not only did it roll laterally but forward up onto my little toe aswell. It's not worth the risk running at short race speed, another roll could really bugger it up as my proprioception seems to be impaired too.

I've just been told that Rob Jebb and Ian Holmes are unlikely to come across for this one, so the new course record is up for grabs.

There are also lots of prizes across various categories.
