    Forerunner 201. Dead.

My Forerunner 201 has died.I've charged it up but when it is disconnected from the charger it is completely dead, and I've tried holding down the reset and on button to reset it like it says in th manual but it's not having it. Has anyone had similar problems or got any advice (don't say get a map and compass )
    Thanks

when you say it's died do you mean it's frozen or completely off?

I had a similar problem with my old one. I contacted Garmin, sent it back and they replaced it !!!

Worth a try. If I dont run with mine on now it feels like I am only half dressed !!
If you cant change something, change the way you feel about it !

It is worth looking at the terminals on the back of the watch - there should be 4 clean bright and shiny small brass discs that connect to the cradle. I find they corrode pretty easily, get gunged up, go black (and become almost invisible) and when that happens the watch displays a 'charge complete' message when it isn't.

I cleaned the terminals and now never wear the watch next to my skin and it has been fine for months.

you have to catch it just right I would charge it up for a good while say 3hrs and try pressing the buttons again.
