Thread: Cracken Edge Fell Race

Agree - what a great night. Congrats to organiser, marshalls & KMR, though I still maintain it was a better course when we all went the wrong way round the loop so the decent was through the quarries - daren't mention it to AB as he looked as though he has enough on this shoulder(s) at the moment (boom boom).

Evening topped off by a fantastic full moon as we returned to The Dark Side followed by several pints of Moonshine and a curry. Life rarely gets any better.

Got the whiff of one or two 'ageist' remarks going round the course, though I dont think I'm the only one that needed help getting over the stile!
Its better to have fought and lost, than not have fought at all.

Brilliant race, particularly enjoyed the final descent.

Was aware there was a stunning view lurking out there and wanted to look up and check it out on a couple occasions but was pretty sure if I did I would veer off path and fall over the edge so thought it best that I just keep my head down!

Thanks to all involved, job well done!

You've not started working out percentiles have you Joe? I notice you're just in the top 10 percent - nice one.

Too right I have been checking perecntiles - I have a chart!

I was running absolutely terribly at the end of April, so I started doing 2 races a week, training 6 days a week. 20 races later and at last I seem to be able to run properly again :-)

Mind you, if you want a good percentile, do Bramhall Park Run. The winner is usually very fast, but there's a load of small children to beat!!!
